Tour AST – 10: Channels of Guama river
Half-day river tour through the channels of Guamá river (tributary of the Amazon). Jungle walking on trail to discover the forest with its flora and fauna as well as the way of life of local communities.
Duration: 3 ½ hours
Departure: Monday , Wednesday and Friday at 8.30am or 2.30pm . Optional RT transfers htl/pier with extra fee
Tour AST – 12: River Tour Combu Island: Chocolate & River Grafittis
After transfer from the hotels, board local boat or speed boat and cross Guamá river, with a view of the southern border of Belem and the movement of various types of boats, from large barges, ferries and the famous “popopos”, as river boats are known. Then enter the Combú creek , on Combú Island, considered the first Amazon River Gallery, made by graphite artists from various parts of Brazil in a joint effort of art and culture, Sebastião Tapajós Jr’s project. After that we will stop at Dona Nena’s house , the person responsible for the ” Combú daughters’ “, there we will see the organic chocolate production.
Since 2014, when the 100% organic chocolate made in Nena’s backyard has fallen on the graces of renowned chefs like Thiago Castanho and Alex Atala, the number of tourists at the small craft factory keeps growing. The Island of Combú is an Amazonian paradise, rich in cocoa, but also in açaí, cupuaçu, banana, pupunha and many other species. We will also meet the majestic and centenarian Samaumeira, a tree that stands on the land of its house among the cacao trees and açai trees. After the tour return to Belém and transfer back to the Hotels.

Tour AST – 13:Channels & creeks of Guama river with lunch
After transfer of the passengers from hotels, boarding to travel along the Guama and Acara River, where you have the opportunity to see the commercial activities of the local people (ribeirinhos), arriving on the islands with their small-laden fish boats, fruits and vegetables to be marketed in small ports river edge of Belem. You have the opportunity to get close to this exotic world of colors and sounds, after passing by Benedito, Paciença or Maracuja ‘ channel , we will walk to meet the riverine environment and its local inhabitant, mestizo, his relationship with the river, its home port, access to land, the farm, as well as the beautiful local vegetation that stands out for large specimens of trees such as rubber, andiroba and palm trees like açaí and buriti, and the majestic samaumeira. Lunch included during the tour, in a typical riverside restaurant . (Drinks not included). Return to Belem and transfer to hotels

Tour AST – 14: Parrots Island river tour
You will be picked up at your hotel and driven to a private pier in the south of the city where you will board a regional boat . Before sunrise , navigation to reach Parrots island. As the sun appears, thousand of parrots leave the island in a noisy and wonderful flight. After you witness this unforgettable scene , the tour continue through the channels and creeks of the Guamá river .Opportunity to see native people riding dug-out canoes, fishing and selling local products in their stilt houses. Return to the private pier and transfer back to the hotel

Time at leisure for a nap or a relaxing river bath.
